On February 15th Absolute Radio in the UK launched a brand new sonic logo to bring the aural Absolute brand inline with the visual brand for the ‘Faces For Radio Marketing’ campaign.

“From vocals to a string quartet, the sonic sound was recorded live at the world famous Sunset Sound in West Hollywood. The iconic studio has hosted some of the greatest artists of our time including The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Beach Boys, Aretha Franklin, Sheryl Crow, Elton John, Bob Dylan & The Doors to name but a few.

Our very own Creative and Publishing Director Vince Lynch, who is based in Los Angeles, was the driving force behind the project, securing the services of an internationally acclaimed production team also based in LA, who have worked with the likes of Arcade Fire and Lauryn Hill.

The publishing and the master recordings of the tracks & songs are owned by One Golden Square Creative ltd (Absolute Radio’s music publishing arm) and administered by EMI Music Publishing which generates income annually across the Absolute Radio brand in publishing.

One Golden Square Creative ltd was the result of a pioneering agreement with EMI Music Publishing, the world’s leading publisher of popular music in September 2009, enabling a brand new revenue stream for the business .The deal is designed to provide us with the services of EMI Music Publishing’s renowned and extensive roster of writers and composers to clients who are able to commission bespoke songs and audio accompaniments for marketing campaigns. The deal not only covers audio for creative campaigns but can also be extended to encompass the publishing of songs recorded for general release.

Our original sonic logo was written & created by Sandy Beech at Music 4 and recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London when Absolute Radio was launched.”
